On Sunday, October 25th, at the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine, local kids took part in a clinic that marked the establishing of the Junior Sixers League. The program, presented by NovaCare and run in conjunction with Philadelphia Freedom Valley and Greater Brandywine YMCA locations, marks the Sixers’ latest and largest commitment to youth engagement.

“I think it’s a win-win for everybody,” said Brett Brown. The Sixers’ head coach helped host the seminar. He is the father of three himself. “You’re dealing with people that are now either playing or coaching at the highest level, and we all have stories to tell. And from the other side of it, the kids now have the opportunity to touch some of the local stars in the city, and I just think everybody wins out of it.
