Monday night, November 9, 2015 was a special night in Sacramento as the first two female coaches ever in the NBA faced off for the first time ever. Becky Hammon of the San Antonio Spurs and Nancy Lieberman of the Sacramento Kings are both assistants for their respective squads, but their impact goes far beyond their duties on the bench. Sacramento recognized this momentous occasion by holding a ‘Women in Sports’ in which other accomplished female athletes were recognized.
