Brooklyn Nets interim head coach Tony Brown has a lot to gain from his current position. With new GM Sean Marks stepping in, he has the opportunity to prove his worth to him and the rest of the league. “This is not just an audition for Sean. A lot of teams are looking to see how I’m doing in this position. It’s a résumé-type deal here,” Brown said. “If I can run a team and run it successfully, obviously the record’s not going to be what you want, [but] I’m in a position where I can help improve players on this team. That’s where my focus is going to be. We’ve got some young guys that are going to be getting minutes. If I can help improve their play, that’ll be a plus and a feather in my cap.”
