REX WALTERS
CHARLOTTE HORNETS ASSISTANT COACH
In 2022, Rex Walters became an Assistant Coach for the Charlotte Hornets. Coach Walters was born in Omaha, Nebraska and played for Northwestern University for his first two seasons and finished his collegiate career at the University of Kansas. He was drafted 16th overall in the 1993 NBA Draft by the New Jersey Nets and had a 10-year NBA professional playing career with stops in New Jersey, Philadelphia, and Miami, as well as internationally in Spain. Coach Walters in his wife, Deanna, have four children (Addison, Gunner, Drew, & Riley).
