In 2021, Popeye Jones became an Assistant Coach for the Denver Nuggets. Coach Jones was born in Dresden, Tennessee and played for and graduated from Murray State University. He was drafted 41^st overall in the 1992 NBA Draft by the Houston Rockets and had an 11-year NBA and professional playing career, with stops in Dallas, Toronto, Boston, Denver, Washington and Golden State. Coach Jones and his wife, Amy, have four children (Justin, Seth, Caleb, & Camden).
