RYAN SCHMIDT

ATLANTA HAWKS ASSISTANT COACH

In 2023, Ryan Schmidt became an Assistant Coach for the Atlanta Hawks. Coach Schmidt was born in Keizer, Oregon and first played for the University of Hawaii, before transferring to Oregon State University for his final year of eligibility. He was drafted to the Idaho Stampede in the 2008 NBA Development League Draft and had a two-year playing career in NBA D League and American Basketball Association (ABA). Coach and his wife, Whitney, have a daughter (Deklynn).
