In 2020, Maurice Cheeks became an Assistant Coach for the Chicago Bulls. Coach Cheeks was born in Chicago, Illinois and played for and graduated from West Texas A&M. He was drafted 36th overall in the 1978 NBA Draft by the Philadelphia 76ers and had a 15-year NBA playing career, with stops in Philadelphia, San Antonio, New York, Atlanta, and New Jersey. In 2018, Coach Cheeks was inducted into the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame as a player. Coach Cheeks has one child (Maura).
