Brian Keefe is the Head Coach of the Washington Wizards. On January 25, 2024, Keefe became the 26th Head Coach* in Wizards history.
In his NBA career, Keefe has spent time with the Oklahoma City Thunder as an Assistant Coach on two occasions (2019-2020 and 2007-2014), as well as an Assistant Coach with the Los Angeles Lakers (2016-2019) and New York Knicks (2014-2016). Keefe began his NBA career as a video coordinator with San Antonio from 2005-2007 and was a staff member of the 2007 championship Spurs team.
Brian Keefe was born on April 7, 1976, in Winchester, Massachusetts. Keefe attended Winchester High School and went on to play collegiately for two seasons (1994-1996) at UC Irvine, earning All-Big West Second Team honors as a sophomore. He then transferred to UNLV for his final two years of eligibility where he helped lead the Runnin’ Rebels to an NCAA Tournament berth in 1998. Keefe coached five seasons at the collegiate level, serving as an assistant at Bryant University from 2001-2005 and graduate assistant at the University of South Florida in 2000-2001.
