DAVID ADELMAN
DENVER NUGGETS HEAD COACH
David Adelman is the Head Coach of the Denver Nuggets. On May 22, 2025, Adelman became the 17th Head Coach in Nuggets history.
Prior to becoming the Head Coach of the Nuggets, Coach Adelman was an Assistant Coach for the team under Coach Michael Malone (2017-2025), where he helped the team reach seven NBA Playoff berths (2019, 2020, 2021, 2022, 2023, 2024, 2025), the NBA Western Conference Finals (2020), and winning an NBA Championship (2023). Prior to joining the Nuggets, he was an Assistant Coach for the Orlando Magic under Coach Frank Vogel (2016-2017). Prior to joining the Magic, he was an Assistant Coach for the Minnesota Timberwolves under Head Coaches Rick Adelman (2011-2014), Flip Saunders (2014-2015), and Sam Mitchell (2015-2016).
David Adelman was born on May 15, 1981, in Salem, Oregon. He attended and played at Southern New Hampshire University, where he received a bachelor’s degree in history.
