In 2023, David Vanterpool became an Assistant Coach for the Washington Wizards. He was born in Silver Spring, Maryland and attended and played at St. Bonaventure University. Coach Vanterpool went on to play for the Washington Wizards, in the CBA and ABA, and also played professionally overseas in Italy, China, and Russia.
