In 2023, Doug West became an Assistant Coach for the Philadelphia 76ers. Coach West was born in Altoona, Pennsylvania and played for and graduated from Villanova University. West was drafted 38^th overall in the 1989 NBA Draft and had a 12-year professional playing career with stops in Minnesota and Vancouver.
