Coach Watson was born in Kansas City, Missouri and played for and graduated from the University of California, Los Angeles, where he received his bachelor’s degree in history. He was drafted 39^th overall in the 2001 NBA Draft by the SuperSonics and had a 13-year NBA playing career with stops in Seattle, Memphis, Denver, Oklahoma City, Indiana, Utah, and Portland Trail Blazers.
