ELSTON TURNER

MINNESOTA TIMBERWOLVES ASSISTANT COACH

In 2021, Elston Turner became an Assistant Coach for the Minnesota Timberwolves. Coach Turner was born in Knoxville, Tennessee and played for and graduated from Ole Miss. He was drafted 43rd overall in the 1981 NBA Draft by the Dallas Mavericks and had a 14-year NBA and professional playing career, with stops in Dallas, Denver, Chicago, the, CBA, the ABA, as well as overseas in Spain, Italy, and Greece. Coach Turner and his wife, Louise, have two children (Elston, Jr. & Taylor).
