In 2023, Eric Maynor became an Assistant Coach for the Oklahoma City Thunder. He was born in Raeford, North Carolina and attended and played at Virginia Commonwealth University, where he received a bachelor’s degree in sports management. Coach Maynor was selected in the first round by the Utah Jazz in the 2009 NBA Draft and went on to also play for the Oklahoma City Thunder, Portland Trail Blazers, Washington Wizards, Philadelphia 76ers, and also played professionally overseas in Italy and Russia.
