In 2023, Eric Maynor became an Assistant Coach for the Oklahoma City Thunder. Coach Maynor was born in Raeford, North Carolina and played for and graduated from Virginia Commonwealth University. He was selected 20th overall in the 2009 NBA Draft by the Utah Jazz and had a 9-year professional career with stops in Utah, Oklahoma City, Portland, Washington, Philadelphia, as well as, overseas in Italy and Russia.
