FRED VINSON
DETROIT PISTONS ASSISTANT COACH
In 2024, Fred Vinson became an Assistant Coach for the Detroit Pistons. He was born in Murfreesboro, North Carolina and attended and played at Chowan University and Georgia Tech, where he received a bachelor’s degree in business management. Coach Vinson went on to play for the Atlanta Hawks, Seattle SuperSonics, CBA, ABA, UBL, and also played professionally overseas in Philippines, Israel, Venezuela, Poland, and France.
