JACQUE VAUGHN

On November 9, 2022, Vaughn became (for his second stint) the 24th Head Coach* in Nets history.

Prior to his second stint as Head Coach with the Brooklyn Nets, Coach Vaughn was an Assistant Coach in Brooklyn (2020-2022). In the 2019-2020 NBA Season, Coach Vaughn was in the Interim Head Coach for the Brooklyn Nets and led the team to the Eastern Conference Quarterfinals. While an Assistant with the Nets from 2016-2020, Coach Vaughn helped led a rebuilding team to the playoffs twice (2018-2019 & 2019-2020). Before his time in Brooklyn, Coach Vaughn was the Head Coach for the Orlando Magic (2012-2015) and an Assistant Coach for the San Antonio Spurs (2010-2012).

Coach Vaughn was born on February 11, 1975, in Los Angeles, California. He played for and graduated from the University of Kansas and was selected 27th overall in the 1997 NBA Draft by the Utah Jazz. He had a 12-year NBA player career with stops in Utah, Atlanta, Orlando, New Jersey, and San Antonio. Coach Vaughn and his wife, Laura, have two children.
