Charlotte Hornets Assistant Coach Jay Triano is very proud of where he came from. So proud, that he has embedded himself into Canadian basketball. In addition to his assistant role with his NBA team, Triano is the Head Coach of the Canadian National Team. His journey to this point has seen him in roles in the front office, on air as a broadcaster, and in multiple stints as a head coach and interim head coach in the NBA. His roots in Canadian professional basketball stem back to the Vancouver Grizzlies, where he broke into the NBA as their Color Commentator and Director of Community Relations.
