JJ REDICK

LOS ANGELES LAKERS HEAD COACH

JJ Redick is the Head Coach of the Los Angeles Lakers. On June 24, 2024, Redick became the 29th Head Coach* in Lakers history.

JJ Redick was born on June 24, 1984, in Cookeville, Tennessee. He attended and played at Duke University, where he received a bachelor’s degree in history with a minor in cultural anthropology. During Coach Redick’s time at Duke University, he was named the two-time First-Team All-American and 2006 Naismith Men’s College Player of the Year. On February 4, 2007, Duke retired his jersey. Coach Redick was selected in the first round by the Orlando Magic in the 2006 NBA Draft and went on to also play with the Bucks, Clippers, 76ers, Pelicans, and Mavericks.
