PHOENIX SUNS HEAD COACH
Jordan Ott is the Head Coach of the Phoenix Suns. On June 6th, 2025, Ott became the 23rd Head Coach* in Suns’ history.
Prior to becoming the Head Coach of the Suns, Coach Ott was an Assistant Coach for the Cleveland Cavaliers under Coach Kenny Atkinson (2024-2025), where he helped lead the team to reach the NBA Playoffs in 2025, for the Los Angeles Lakers under Coach Darvin Ham (2022-2024), where he helped lead the team to reach the NBA Playoffs in 2024 and 2023. He was also an Assistant Coach for the Brooklyn Nets under Coaches Kenny Atkinson, Jacque Vaughn, and Steve Nash (2016-2022), where he helped lead the team to reach the NBA Playoffs in 2022, 2021, 2020, and 2019, and as a Video Coordinator for the Atlanta Hawks under Coach Mike Budenholzer (2013-2016).
Jordan Ott was born on March 1, 1985, in McConnellsburg, Pennsylvania. He graduated from Penn State University, where he received his bachelor’s degree in sports management and Michigan State University, where he received his master’s degree in athletic administration. Before his NBA coaching career, Ott served as an Assistant Coach for the Dominican Republic National Team in the 2015 FIBA Americas Championship.
