Joseph Abboud Named Official Wardrobe Supplier for NBCA

Men’s Wearhouse signed a two year agreement with the National Basketball Coaches Association (NBCA) to dress the coaches of the National Basketball Association (NBA) in Joseph Abboud Custom suits for the 2014-2015 and 2015-2016 seasons. This is Joseph Abboud’s sixth year as the Official Wardrobe Supplier of the NBCA.

This year, 25 coaches were measured during the annual NBA Coaches Summit in September, where they selected from hundreds of fabric swatches, and a range of styles and silhouettes, to create an exclusive, made-to-measure suit. All Joseph Abboud suits are made in America at the company’s factory, in New Bedford, MA. Head Coach Doc Rivers of the Los Angeles Clippers says, “As a former athlete, it’s almost impossible to walk into a store and buy clothes off the rack that fit well so having Joseph Abboud Custom suits tailored to me has made all the difference for me in fit and comfort on the court. When you have 82 games a season, it’s important to look your best and have confidence in what you’re wearing.” Each coach received 15 Joseph Abboud suits and 20 ties for the 2014-2015 season.

In addition, each coach will be supporting the annual Men’s Wearhouse National Suit Drive in July. Men’s Wearhouse collects gently used men’s and women’s professional clothing items to help give a fresh start to millions of disadvantaged people facing unemployment. Men’s Wearhouse partners with over 180 nonprofit organizations across the country to distribute donations collected from the Suit Drive. Coaches will personally be donating clothing to a Men’s Wearhouse in their market for the campaign in July. “There is a high demand for Big and Tall  clothing so having the support of former athlete coaches like myself to drive the sports industry to donate will be a great addition to an important cause,” says Head Coach Rick Carlisle of the Dallas Mavericks.

“We have had a long standing relationship with the NBCA as the Official Wardrobe Supplier of the NBA coaches. Basketball is one of the greatest American sports. As an American designer that is able to manufacture our product in the USA, there is great synergy between us as partners,” says Joseph Abboud, Chief Creative Director of Men’s Wearhouse.

Joseph Abboud Custom Clothing is exclusively available at Men’s Wearhouse stores nationwide.
