In 2023, Mery Andrade became an Assistant Coach for the Toronto Raptors. Coach Andrade was born in Cape Verde and played for Old Dominion University. Andrade was selected 23^rd overall in 1999 WNBA Draft by the Cleveland Rockers and had a 5-year WNBA playing career with stops in Cleveland and Charlotte.
