The only danger in the Heat players and staff heading to 23Hoyt in downtown Portland for dinner Friday was if somebody had to send back the food.
The owner probably would not have appreciated it. .. especially when it’s your coach.
“I was able to make a good recommendation to them,” Erik Spoelstra said.
And if you are looking for a review for Spoelstra’s restaurant, an American bistro with “the best burger in town” according to one online review, the Heat gives it a thumbs up.
But did they have a choice?
“We ordered as much as we can,” Goran Dragic said. “The food is really good. We had some good moments.”
Spoelstra got into the restaurant business about 10 years ago as a part owner of 23Hoyt along with some childhood friends.
“It’s been fun,” he said. “I’ve been able to enjoy that experience with my friends.”
