Micah Nori is the Head Coach of the Portland Trail Blazers. On June 23, 2026, Nori became the 16th Head Coach* in Trail Blazers history.

Prior to joining the Trail Blazers, Coach Nori was an Assistant Coach for the Minnesota Timberwolves under Head Coach Chris Finch (2021-2026), where he helped the team reach two NBA Playoffs berths (2022, 2023), an NBA Western Conference Semifinals appearance (2026), and two NBA Conference Finals appearances (2024, 2025). Prior to joining the Timberwolves, he was an Assistant Coach for the Denver Nuggets under Head Coach Michael Malone (2015-2018). Prior to joining the Nuggets, Coach Nori was an Assistant Coach for the Sacramento Kings under Head Coaches Michael Malone (2013 -2014), Tyrone Corbin (2014-2015), and George Karl (2014-2015). Prior to joining the Kings, he was an Assistant Coach for the Toronto Raptors under Head Coaches Jay Triano (2009-2011) and Dwane Casey (2011-2013). Prior to becoming an Assistant Coach for the Raptors, Coach Nori was an Advance Scout for the team under Head Coaches Butch Carter (1998-2000), Lenny Wilkens (2000-2003), Kevin O’Neill (2003-2004), Sam Mitchell (2004-2008), and Jay Triano (2008-2009), where he helped the team reach four NBA Playoffs berths (2000, 2002, 2007, 2008) and an NBA Eastern Conference Semifinals appearance (2001).

Micah Nori was born on April 8, 1974, in Middleton, Ohio. He attended and played baseball at the University of Indiana, where he received a bachelor’s degree in sports marketing and management and a minor in business. Coach Nori went on to attend Miami University (Ohio), where he received a master’s degree in sports organization.
