Despite being born without part of his left arm, Chicago Bulls Assistant Coach Nate Loenser has always set out to be the best at everything he possibly can. At Northern University High School in Cedar Rapids, Coach Loenser earned 11 varsity letters in 4 different sports – Football, Baseball, Basketball, and Golf. In addition to earning All-State honors in baseball, he played the cello and tuba in the school orchestra and finished atop his class academically. After playing collegiate baseball at Iowa State, he entered the coaching realm where he worked his way onto the Bulls staff through the Cyclone lineage of Fred Hoiberg. Focussing on player development, he aims to practice what he preaches to his players: listen twice as much as you speak.
