Great work by NBA Coach David Fizdale in speaking to youth basketball coaches during the Jr. NBA Coaches Forum. Throughout the conversation, Coach Fizdale discusses how being uncomfortable drives change, his experience growing up with the L.A. Uprising following the Rodney King incident, and how to take ideas and turn them into action to impact the overarching issue of racial injustice.

The Jr. NBA collaborated with Ross Initiative in Sports for Equality (RISE) to raise awareness and educate youth basketball coaches on how RISE addresses these issues and opened a dialogue to allow youth basketball coaches to talk about the tools and resources they would find valuable to engage their players in conversations on race and equality.
