Great segment on TNT in shining a light on the fantastic work of NBA Coaches Association President and Dallas Mavericks Head Coach, Rick Carlisle. During the Golden State Warriors and Dallas Mavericks game on Thursday, February 4th, Chris Webber and Brian Anderson discuss Coach Carlisle’s impact on the NBA Coaches Association and the coaching profession since he became NBCA President in 2006. Specifically, they discuss his efforts with the newly created NBA Coaches Database, assistant coaching mentorship and development, the efforts of Coaches Lloyd Pierce, Steve Kerr, and others in advancing voting rights and voter awareness, as well as the Coaches’ commitment to equal rights awareness. The NBA Coaches Association and Coach Rick Carlisle are focused on improving the coaching profession on the court, as well as using their platform to speak out on important issues off of the court.
