The membership of the National Basketball Coaches Association joins the NBA family in mourning the passing of longtime NBA Head and Assistant Coach, Doug Moe. Coach Moe’s coaching career spanned over four decades with the Denver Nuggets, San Antonio Spurs, and Philadelphia 76ers. Doug was the recipient of the NBA Coach of the Year Award in 1988 and the NBCA Chuck Daly Lifetime Achievement Award in 2018. Moe also won the ABA championship as a player in 1969.
Coach Moe will be remembered not only as a Coach, but also as a mentor to so many in the basketball community. Our thoughts and prayers go out to the entire Moe family during this difficult time.
