Great work by James Boyd of the Indy Star in illustrating the impact that Hall of Fame Coach, Bill Fitch had on NBCA President and Indiana Pacers Head Coach, Rick Carlisle. Coach Fitch was a very special person in Coach Carlisle’s life, giving Coach Carlisle his first assistant coaching opportunity with the New Jersey Nets in 1989. Coach Carlisle states, “I learned so much from Coach Fitch… He had gigantic contributions to the game… was the ultimate franchise builder and a wonderful man.”
