In 2023, Omar Cook became an Assistant Coach for the Cleveland Cavaliers. He was born in Brooklyn, New York and attended and played at St John’s University. Coach Cook was selected in the second round by the Orlando Magic in the 2001 NBA Draft and went on to play for the Trail Blazers and Raptors, in the NBA D League, and overseas in Belgium, Russia, France, Serbia, Spain, Italy, Lithuania, and Montenegro.
