In 2023, Omar Cook became an Assistant Coach for the Cleveland Cavaliers. Coach Cook was born in Brooklyn, New York and played for St John’s University. Cook was drafted 32^nd overall in the 2001 draft and had a 21-year professional playing career with stops in Portland, Toronto, the NBA D League as well as overseas in Belgium, Russia, France, Serbia, Spain, Italy, Lithuania, and Montenegro.
