In 2022, Rashard Lewis became an Assistant Coach for the Detroit Pistons. Coach Lewis was born in Pineville, Louisiana and played at Alief Elsik High School in Houston, Texas. He was drafted 32^nd overall in the 1998 NBA Draft by the Seatlle SuperSonics and had a 16-year NBA playing career with stops in Seattle, Orlando, Washington, and Miami. Coach Lewis and his wife, Giovanni, have three children (Rashard Jr., Grayson, & Gianna).
