In 2022, Rick Brunson became an Assistant Coach for the New York Knicks. Coach Brunson was born in Syracuse, New York and played for and graduated from Temple University. He had a 11-year NBA and professional playing career with stops in Portland, New York, Boston, Chicago, Toronto, Los Angeles (Clippers), Seattle, and Houston.
