MEMPHIS GRIZZLIES HEAD COACH

Tuomas Iisalo is the Head Coach of the Memphis Grizzlies. On May 2, 2025, Iisalo became the 15th Head Coach* in Grizzlies’ history.

Prior to becoming Head Coach of the Grizzlies, Coach Iisalo served as an Assistant Coach, under Head Coach Taylor Jenkins (2024-2025) and helped guide them to a 2025 playoff appearance. Before his NBA coaching career, Iisalo served as Head Coach of the Telekom Baskets Bonn (Germany) and won the Bundesliga Coach of the Year in back-to-back seasons (2021-2023). In 2023, Coach Iisalo won the FIBA Champions League and was awarded with the Basketball Champions League Best Coach honors. He later served as Head Coach for Paris Basketball (France) where he led the club to a 20-1 record, the 2023-2024 EuroCup Championship, and was named the EuroCup Coach of the Year.

Tuomas Iisalo was born on July 29, 1982, in Helsinki, Finland. He had a 14-year professional playing career in Finland. Coach Iisalo is the first Finnish-born Head Coach in the NBA.
