In 2019, God Shammgod became an Assistant Coach for the Dallas Mavericks. Coach Shammgod was born in New York, New York and played for and graduated from Providence College, where he received his bachelor’s degree in leadership development. He was drafted 45^th overall in the 1997 NBA Draft and had a 12-year professional playing career, with stops in Poland, China, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, and Croatia. Coach Shammgod has one child.
