In 2018, Vitaly Potapenko became an Assistant Coach for the Memphis Grizzlies. Coach Potapenko was born in Kyiv, Ukraine and played for Wright State University. He was drafted 12^th overall in the 1996 NBA Draft by the Cleveland Cavaliers and had an 11-year NBA and professional playing career, with stops in Cleveland, Boston, Seattle, Sacramento, as well as overseas in Ukraine and Spain.
