In 2020, Teresa Weatherspoon became an Assistant Coach for the New Orleans Pelicans. Coach Weatherspoon was born in Pineland, Texas and played for and graduated from Louisiana Tech University. She had a 16-year WNBA and professional playing career, with stops in New York, Los Angeles, as well as overseas in Italy and Russia. Coach Weatherspoon was enshrined into the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame in Springfield, Massachusetts as part of the 2019 class.
