In 2021, Doug Christie became an Assistant Coach for the Sacramento Kings. Coach Christie was born in Seattle, Washington and played for Pepperdine University. He was drafted 17^th overall in the 1992 NBA Draft by the Seattle SuperSonics and had a 15-year NBA playing career, with stops in Los Angeles (Lakers), New York, Toronto, Sacramento, Orlando, Dallas, and Los Clippers (Clippers). Coach Christie and his wife, Jackie, have two children, (Chantel & Douglas Jr.).
