In 2024, DeMarre Carroll became an Assistant Coach for the Cleveland Cavaliers. Coach Carroll was born in Birmingham, Alabama and played for Vanderbilt University, and later played for and graduated from the University of Missouri. He was drafted 27^th overall in the 2009 NBA Draft by the by the Memphis Grizzlies and had an 11-year playing career with stops in Memphis, Houston, Denver, Utah, Atlanta, Toronto, Brooklyn, and San Antonio.
