SACRAMENTO KINGS HEAD COACH

Doug Christie is the Head Coach of the Sacramento Kings. On May 1, 2025, Christie became the 32nd Head Coach* in Kings history.

Prior to becoming the Head Coach of the Kings, Coach Christie was an Assistant Coach for the team under Head Coaches Luke Walton (2020-2021), Alvin Gentry (2021-2022), and Mike Brown (2022-2024), where he helped the team reach an NBA Playoff berth (2023).

Doug Christie was born on May 9, 1970, in Seattle, Washington. He attended and played at Pepperdine University. Coach Christie was selected in the first round by the Seattle SuperSonics in the 1992 NBA Draft and went on to also play with the Lakers, Knicks, Raptors, Kings, Magic, Mavericks, and Clippers.
