In 2025, God Shammgod became an Assistant Coach for the Orlando Magic. He was born in New York, New York and attended and played at Providence College, where he received a bachelor’s degree in leadership development. Coach Shammgod was selected in the second round by the Washington Wizards in the 1997 NBA Draft and also went on to play overseas in Poland, China, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, and Croatia.
