In 2023, Jama Mahlalela became an Assistant Coach (second stint) for the Toronto Raptors. Coach Mahlalela was born in Mbabane, Swaziland and played for and graduated from the University of British Columbia, where he received his Bachelor of Arts degree in kinesiology. Coach Mahlalela is married to his wife, Michelle.
