MEMPHIS GRIZZLIES ASSISTANT COACH

In 2019, James Penn became an Assistant Coach for the Memphis Grizzlies. Coach Penn was born in Yonkers, New York and in his first two seasons played for Boston College – in his final two seasons, he played for and graduated from Ohio State University. He was drafted 57th overall in the 2000 NBA Draft by the Atlanta Hawks, and had an 11-year professional playing career, with stops in the NBA G League, Italy, Serbia, Croatia, Greece, Turkey, and Ukraine.
