JOHN LUCAS

HOUSTON ROCKETS ASSISTANT COACH

In 2016, John Lucas became an Assistant Coach for the Houston Rockets. Coach Lucas was born in Durham, North Carolina and played for and graduated from the University of Maryland. He was drafted 1st overall in the 1976 NBA Draft by the Houston Rockets and had a 14-year NBA and professional playing career, with stops in Houston, Golden State, Washington, San Antonio, Milwaukee, Seattle, as well as the CBA. Coach Lucas and his wife, DeEdgra, have two children (John III & Jai).
