In 2025, Greg Monroe became an Assistant Coach for the New Orleans Pelicans. He was born in New Orleans, Louisiana and attended and played at Georgetown University. Coach Monroe was selected seventh overall by the Detroit Pistons in the 2010 NBA Draft and went on to also play for the Milwaukee Bucks, Phoenix Suns, Boston Celtics, Toronto Raptors, Philadelphia 76ers, Minnesota Timberwolves, Washington Wizards, Utah Jazz, NBA G League, and also played professionally in Puerto Rico and overseas in Germany, Russia, and China.
