BROOKLYN NETS INTERIM HEAD COACH

Kevin Ollie is the Interim Head Coach of the Brooklyn Nets. On February 19, 2024, Ollie became the 25th Head Coach* in Nets history.

In his coaching career, Ollie has spent time as an Assistant Coach (2010-2012) with the University of Connecticut, later becoming the Head Coach in the 2012-2013 season. Coach Ollie led the UConn Men’s Basketball Team to a NCAA National Championship win in the 2013-2014 season, finishing the season 32-8. In six seasons, Kevin Ollie’s head coaching record at the University of Connecticut was 97-79 (.551). In 2021, Coach Ollie became the Head Coach of Overtime Elite and coached two seasons before becoming an Assistant Coach for the Brooklyn Nets in the 2023-2024 NBA Season.

Kevin Ollie was born on December 27, 1972, in Dallas, Texas. He attended Crenshaw High School in Los Angeles, California and went on to play collegiately at the University of Connecticut (1991-1995). After going undrafted in the 1995 NBA Draft, Ollie played in the CBA for two years with the Connecticut Pride. In 1997, he joined the Dallas Mavericks and continued a 13-year NBA career with stops in Dallas, Orlando, Sacramento, Philadelphia, New Jersey, Chicago, Indiana, Milwaukee, Seattle, Cleveland, Minnesota, and Oklahoma City.
